Is it just me or (Pro Control) but every 4th gen AppleTV I've used the Play/Pause button does not work. Very annoying....not sure if it's Pro controls Ir code or what but it's done it on both the .z & .r remotes for me. Swapping with the old AppleTV and it works fine. Just curious if I'm doing something wrong.

Just curious if I'm doing something wrong. Definitely something going on. I've been having issues in URC software and haven't been able to use my old learned codes, last gen codes or 4th gen code set from their database. On the last one, I just used the learn commands feature in the Apple TV and used whatever codes I wanted.

I just use the old codes. Works perfect on every ATV4 I've done.

Just learn the play/pause codes from an AppleTV Gen3 (silver) remote and they work.

Does it work as the OK button too?
That's my problem right now. Before the center button on the silver remote use to do the Play/Pause as well as the OK. Now they are separated. In some apps the OK does the Play/Pause as well. But in others it does not.

I just went through this last week with a couple ATV4's. One was with a mx980 and the other a Pro24r.
For the Mx980, I just taught the Atv the existing commands I already had in the remote, (the old gen 3 codes). It worked well.
For the Pro24r, for whatever reason, that Apple TV wouldn't take the codes properly. I finally gave up and called ProControl. They just emailed me the new codes and all was good.
I can email them over if needed.

This has been a known issue since the devices release. Pretty sure I posted about it. The codes are not the problem, there are actual programming glitches within the Apple TV4 with how they track what application you are watching/listening too, and the codes do not map properly via their IR protocols.
IP to my knowledge does not have this problem, but IR does. Certain apps work with all the codes (Netflix and iTunes for example), but YouTube does not.
I don't recall the full list of apps that work versus those that don't and which buttons do/don't work properly...but they are many and varied.
That said, they were supposed to be fixing the issue with a firmware update...so you may want to make sure that is done before banging your head against a wall to much more.
